• Distribution: — India; known only from the type locality. Habitat and ecology: — This species grows along the shola patches situated c. 1780 m, near Tea plantations and occasionally grows as an epiphyte too. Common associates are Elatostema cuneatum Wight (1853: 2094), Liparis atropurpurea Lindley (1830: 28) and Impatiens coelotropis Fischer (1934: 390). A population of 60 – 115 plants was observed at the type locality for 12 years (2010 – 2022). Flowering and fruiting: — May – July1 esp.
