Yucca neomexicana was determined on 16 March 1993 (and last reviewed) as having a Global Status level of G4 G5 TNR, its Rounded Global Status has not been ranked yet (NatureServe 2019). It is conserved in eight ex-situ collections (BGCI 2020) and it is present in the Kiowa National Grassland.
