Yucca coahuilensis has no management and restoration plans and is not included in any protected areas but is near the Maderas del Carmen Protected Area. There are only two ex-situ collections of this plant (BGCI 2020). This taxon would benefit from its inclusion in Mexico's list of threatened species NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010. This is a poorly known species and more research is needed.
