État de la populationExpert
Most of its subpopulations are distributed in the state of Jalisco and a few individuals are found in Michoacán near the type locality. It is estimated the population has a total number of mature individuals of less than 10,000. It is likely the current population trend is declining due to the habitat threats, mainly because of the expansion of the agriculture frontier (Hernández-Sandoval pers. comm. 2019).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
Nolina rodriguezii occurs in the Natural Resources Protection Area "C.A.D.N.R. 043". This species is not known from any ex situ collections (BGCI 2019). Control of urban expansion in the range is needed to avoid an intensive change of land use. It would be beneficial to recommend sustainable associated production and livelihood alternatives. In addition, it is suggested to monitor the habitat trend.
