État de la populationExpert
It is estimated the population has a total number of mature individuals of less than 10,000. It is likely the current population trend is stable, but it could be experiencing a future decline due to the habitat threats, mainly because of mining and frequent fires (Hernández-Sandoval pers. comm. 2019).

Description complète des menacesExpert

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
Nolina brandegeei occurs in the Biosphere Reserve "Sierras La Giganta y Guadalupe". This species is known from one ex situ collection under the old name, Nolina palmeri var. brandegeei (BGCI 2019), and is probably still grown in a wider range of botanic gardens. It would be beneficial to recommend sustainable associated production and livelihood alternatives. In addition, it is suggested to monitor the habitat trend.
