Description complète des menacesExpert
The major threats to some subpopulations of this species are habitat degradation due to illegal water extraction to irrigate orchards, and changes in the nature of the soil as a result of agricultural and livestock activities. Gathering of wild bulbs for trading is an additional potential threat.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
It is present in protected areas (IUCN and UNEP-WCMC 2017). In Spain this species is assessed as Vulnerable (VU) at regional level of the Comunidad de Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM 2001), and as VU (D2) in the Spanish Red List of Vascular Flora (Moreno 2008).

Habitat and site protection to control bulb collection and trade are recommended. Further research on its taxonomic status, population trends, ecology and threats concerning this species, as well as monitoring of its population and habitat trends are also proposed.
