Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Conversion of natural habitat to arable and urban land is the most serious threat to Echeandia populations throughout Mexico. This species, however, is unlikely to be seriously affected by these processes as it is reasonably widespread and has tubers that remain underground for long periods of time enabling populations to recover after changes in habitat conditions.
