The species occurs around a single hill range. Construction of roads and associated land use change and anthropogenic disturbance are seen in the area leading to loss of habitat quality. Land use change due to urbanization, residential constructions is also a major threat. Trampling, grazing and invasion of alien flora are other threats as a result of human activities in the area.
