Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Most known populations are in sections of streams and rivers flowing through remnant forest in areas where most of the natural habitat has been cleared and converted to agriculture or plantations. It is not clear how long populations will be able to survive in such habitats as the secondary effects of habitat conversion combine with factors such as casual habitat degradation and urbanisation. The species is likely to be threatened by commercial collection.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
There are no conservation measures in place specifically for this species and it is not known from any protected areas. There is an urgent need to derive an assessment for the conservation condition of all known populations, combined with an assessment of the likelihood of finding other extant populations.
