Description complète des menacesExpert
This species has a narrow elevation range which suggests it may have low habitat plasticity and thus be more vulnerable to habitat loss and disturbance. Habitat loss has been very low within La Amistad International Park, but the rate of deforestation has been increasing in recent years (Monro et al. 2017). UNESCO World Heritage Centre (UNESCO (2010) reported a number of active threats to La Amistad and the park could be designated a ‘park in peril’ in the near future. The primary threats are from hydroelectric dams and the encroachment of settlements and cattle pastures (Monro et al. 2017).
