État de la populationExpert
Very few individuals (not expected to exceed 80-100) have been observed at the sites currently known. The species occurs in microhabitats with very few individuals and it is expected that other areas of suitable microhabitat might exist and this needs further investigation, however it is not expected that potential sites will account for a large area as the species is highly localised. The species primarily reproduces clonally but also produce seeds appearing fertile.

Description complète des menacesExpert
One of the historic sites has already disappeared as a result of urban expansion around Annaba and probably several other ones near Algiers. The historical record at El Kala might also have disappeared as this area has also undergone significant urban expansion. Two of the currently known sites are next to roads and might be threatened by road expansion. Two other are near an active quarry on within an old quarry. Other historic sites have not been seen again but reasonably not searched for also.
