État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
According to the original description (Brullo et al. 2008) only one very small population of fewer than 50 individuals was found. The species was recollected during summer 2023 at the area W-NW of the parking of Megalo Meteoro monastery. About 200 individuals were observed and additional plants are quite likely to occur in neighbouring localities, but it is not expected to have a much wider distribution as it is likely to be restricted to this unusual habitat type.

Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
This species is threatened by human activities such as tourism facilities (small facilities for tourism activities and maybe trampling; Brullo et al. 2008). It is restricted to a small area, but the two localities are on separate outcrops (one within the monastery, and one near a parking area) and so threats would affect these locations separately.
