Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
This species occurs largely in the mountains and bajadas and are therefore removed from areas of rapid urban development. The widening of interstate highway 93 went through a subpopulation of Agave mckelveyana and likely resulted in localised declines. Cattle grazing likely occurs within this species' distribution. Cattle are not known to graze mature plants, but may graze small plants or inflorescences and may cause overall ecosystem degradation.
