État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
Although the population size may be stable in most sites, there is likely to be a low decline in the population overall. For example, the subpopulation in Halabala Forest Reserve may be stable as the species, according to Lim (2003), is common, while a subpopulation in a site showing signs of land conversion is under higher threat.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The species is present in Halabala Forest Reserve, both as wild subpopulations and in cultivation in research areas (Lim 2003). Individuals have been found in protected areas such as Belum Wildlife Reserve and Bang Lang National Park in which parts of the population should be under a level of protection (Protected Planet 2019, ZRC 2019).
