Around 13% of the tree cover was lost between 2000 and 2017 within the extent of occurrence (EOO) (GFW 2019). Forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted to e.g. palm oil plantations (WWF 2019). This species was found in lowland forest (15-150 m asl), which is especially at risk of being converted.
