At Dray Sap waterfall, the type locality of this species, the habitat was impacted by the construction of a dam for hydro-power (H.D. Tran pers.obs. 2011). That site is now visited by tourists who cause further habitat disturbance. Agricultural activity and small-scale logging are also resulting in ongoing habitat loss and disturbance.
