Zamia roezlii

Most known subpopulations of the species occur in landscapes dominated by forests, with low disturbance by human activities. A few subpopulations appear to be threatened by habitat destruction and degradation in Colombia and Ecuador, but this requires further investigation. It is suspected that most subpopulations are viable and occur in healthy habitats.

This species is listed in CITES Appendix II. Little is known about the conservation status for the species; nevertheless, most subpopulations occur in healthy forests, therefore they are suspected to be viable. A few subpopulations are distributed within protected areas and the species has been recorded in some ex situ collections. Further research on the ecology of the species is recommended, to ensure that subpopulations and habitats are viable for the long term.
