Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
This species is listed in CITES Appendix II. Plants are found in the Parque Internacional La Amistad, which is a joint venture by the governments of Panamá and Costa Rica to protect the Talamancan mountain areas on both sides of their shared border and in the Fortuna reserve. Although Zamia lindleyi occurs within the protected areas of Parque Internacional La Amistad (PILA), and Reserva Forestal Fortuna (RFF), it is only known to occur in these two locations, with only a single known specimen collection from PILA (Taylor-Blake et al. 2013). An education and awareness programme as well as the long-term monitoring of subpopulations will support the conservation of this species.
