Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The southwestern corner of Western Australia is the portion of Western Australia where habitat has been most modified and reduced by human activities. Agricultural modification and urbanization have caused the most significant habitat reduction. The Jarrah-Karri forest and shrublands ecoregion has been assigned a conservation status of Critical/Endangered (Mockrin 2001). Logging, inappropriate fire management, and dieback disease are the greatest concerns. This ecoregion contains forests prized for their timber, and state managed logging continues today. Fire management is an integral part of silviculture practice in Karri and Jarrah forests. Repeated burns lead to some vegetation types being burnt more frequently than others and may result in decreased diversity in vegetation communities. Increased infrastructure, such as road building may alter water runoff patterns and spread pests and disease. Dieback disease caused by Phytophthora spp., in particular P. cinnamomi, is perhaps the most significant threat for this ecoregion. Florabase, the Flora of western Australia lists this species as 'not threatened' but no details area given.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
This species has been given a conservation status of 'not threatened' by the Western Australian Herbarium (Paczkowska 1994) and has also been assessed with a ROTAP risk code of '2R' with 2 being 'restricted distribution — range extending over less than 100 km' and R being 'Rare but with no current identifiable threat' (Conn and Doust 1997). No conservation measures have been identified at species level. The ecoregion where the species occurs is stated to be well preserved in a number of large national parks, however according to a report (Gioia and Pigott 2000: in Mockrin 2001) nearly 70% of conservation areas present in the ecoregion were smaller than 1 km2. Most collections do not appear to fall within a protected area, however, it does seem to have been collected from the Walpol-Nornalup National Park. It is recommended that seeds are collected and stored as part of ex situ conservation measures.
