État de la populationExpert
No numerical population data are available but Typha species are often quite common in suitable places and it is suspected that the overall population is large. It is possible that the population trend may be decreasing as low lying areas are increasingly drained and converted for agricultural purposes, however, other species of Typha species are known to spread prolifically and to thrive under eutrophic conditions which may be associated with anthropogenic activity (CABI 2016) and the population trend for this taxon is, therefore, uncertain.
