Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The only current threat to this species is climate change, which has been predicted to cause large declines in suitable tulip habitat area across the region of Central Asia (Wilson et al. 2021). It is believed that this species may be affected by changes in temperature and rainfall patterns leading to shifting habitat, likely to higher altitudes, and the forced relocation of subpopulations of this species. However, the impacts of this threat are very difficult to predict. There is also a threat from livestock overgrazing and collection of flowers in this area where people already pick mushrooms, however these threats have not affected this species or site yet. If these do start to occur then a major population decline will happen.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
This species is endemic to Kazakhstan, however has not been assessed for a conservation status yet due to its relatively recent description. This plant is not currently reported to be in any ex situ collections (BGCI 2022). This species occurs in the Altyn Emel National Park, but the management of the National Park area is said to stop 10 km away from the locality of this species, to the east.
