Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The main threat to this species is livestock overgrazing, but this threat does not affect the majority of subpopulations as many grow in remote areas. Collection of plants does occur occasionally but it is very uncommon and therefore is only a minor threat. Climate change may also impact this high altitude species leading to shifting of suitable habitat likely to higher elevations (Wilson et al. 2021), however the impact of this is uncertain.
