État de la populationExpert
Considering the low number of collections, the population is likely to be small. It is not though that the population size is currently decreasing as a consequence of the threats disturbance, so it is presumed to be stable.

Description complète des menacesExpert
It is not known the exact geographic location of the type locality ('Burtt & Martin B5372), but it is thought to be currently in a disturbed logged area. The logging activity could cause disturbance to the species, nonetheless it is likely that the plant is still present; on the other hand, if the land conversion had been for example to a palm oil plantation, as it happens in many close areas, the species would have surely been wiped out of the place.

The second collection ('Awa & Lee S50982') is within a protected area; even so, logging roads go all the way to the foot of Batu Lawi (Google Earth 2019), and the long term safety of the forest in this isolated patch is dubious.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
The Batu Lawi collection (Awa & Lee S50982) is supposedly to be within the Pulong Tau National Park, however, it is visible from satellite imagery (Google Earth 2019) that this area is completely surrounded by logging activities that could affect the remaining habitat in the long term.

This species has not been recorded by BGCI (2019) to be grown ex situ.
