This species is only known from a few collections, but all were made in protected areas (ZRC 2019, Protected Planet 2019). The population is therefore likely to be small but stable.

There is a general threat to the forests of Borneo (WWF 2019). This species is, however, only known from protected areas and should therefore stay conserved.
