Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
One of the six known subpopulations is located at the site of the mining concession on the Guinean side of the Nimba mountains. Furthermore, its habitat near sea level in temporary wetlands on white sand is very threatened by human activities like building houses, other infrastructure and sand mining at least in the Monrovia region of Liberia (Mesterházy pers. comm. 2020). These threats affect the area, extent and/or quality of habitat and may result in the loss of two subpopulations in the future.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The two locations in the Nimba mountains occur near the boundaries of the protected areas in Guinea and Liberia. More research is need to investigate whether this species occurs elsewhere as it may be undercollected and to provide more information on its ecology and threats.
