The only known locality for this species is within the Arua District in the Northern Region, near to the town of Baribu. Satellite imagery shows settlements and associated agricultural fields and plantations around Baribu, and close to the collection site (Google Earth 2022). The main economic activity in the area is agriculture, with 87% of the land area made up of arable land and 86% of the community engaged in crop production (Uganda Investment Authority 2021). Agriculture is mainly subsistence, with both food and cash crops grown, including cassava, beans, groundnuts, simsim, millet, and maize (Comfort 2017).
