There is no detailed population level information available for this species. Mesterházy collected this species in Gabon, where it is scattered, but not rare on the Batéké Plateau. This plateau stretches beyond Gabon and there may be much suitable habitat for this species in the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Mesterházy pers. comm. 2020).

Description complète des menacesExpert
In Gabon, the majority of known collections have been made within the boundaries of a protected area (Batéké Plateau National Park). The other location is outside protected areas (near Belinga). The forest in this area appears largely intact (Google Earth 2020). The known locations in the Republic of the Congo (near Vinza) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (near the capital Kinshasa) are threatened by habitat destruction (deforestation, increased infrastructure) (Google Earth 2020).
