État de la populationExpert
There is little information regarding the population size and trends of Quercus gomeziana. One study investigated a study area in the Sitakunda Reserve Forest of Chittagong, Bangladesh, where Q. gomeziana had once occurred had since been composed of shrubby vegetation, sung grass, and other tall grasses. However, upon survey of the area, the study found that there were regenerating tree species, some of which are Q. gomeziana (Misbahuzzaman and Jahangir Alam 2006)

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
There is little information regarding conservation actions and plans for Quercus gomeziana. It is currently subject to in situ conservation as it is located in multiple reserves and national forests including Sitakunda Reserve Forest and Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary (Misbahuzzaman and Jahangir Alam 2006, Uddin et al. 2003). According to BGCI's Plant Search (BGCI 2018), there are no reports of the species existing in ex situ collections. Future conservation actions should prioritize surveying and research, especially on the population trends/dynamics, threats, and uses of the species.
