Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
Only the northern Sumatran sites seem to be near or within range of protected areas; all other known sites have either been converted or urbanized. Due to the rarity of this species, urgent surveys of protected areas in Borneo and Central Sumatra for remnant populations of this species are needed, and inclusion in ex-situ collections is recommended. Quercus gaharuensis is not listed in any ex situ collections on BGCI PlantSearch (BGCI 2019). In Sarawak, the species occurs in one Totally Protected Area (Semengoh Nature Researve).
