État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
Quercus daimingshanensis is only known from three localities. Two of these are found on a mountain ranges, while the other is situated in lowland surrounded by limestone ranges (based on previous collection records). Additional sites nearby could exist, but these need to be verified on the ground. The lowland site would be of particular concern as valley floors in this region are the only sites available for roads, agriculture and housing. The locality in Damingshan contains 18 individuals. The other two locality population sizes are unknown.

Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
As Quercus daimingshanensis occurs on middle elevation montane cloudy forests, it is likely that the species is targeted for local firewood collection. The one lowland site is of particular need to inspect, as the valley floors in these mountainous regions are used intensively for roads, agriculture and urban centers. It could also be particularly vulnerable to regional changes in climate.
