État de la populationExpert
There is little information regarding the population or population trends of Quercus brevicalyx. However, it is noted in the lower montane forest zone of this species's occurrence in the Doi Inthanon National Park in Thailand, that it is one of the most abundant species (Sungpalee 2009).

Description complète des menacesExpert
There is very little information regarding threats to Quercus brevicalyx; however, there is indication that Q. brevicalyx could be threatened by agricultural conversion in the future. A study by Yacouba et al. in 2009 looked at land cover in regions of Pu'er City, Yunnan providence, which is very close to a known occurrence of this species. The study concludes that land in mountainous areas in the regions have been converted for agricultural use.
