Description complète des menacesExpert
It seems currently that the largest threat to Quercus berberidifolia is its frequent hybridization with many other species of white oaks in California. Some examples include Coastal Sage Scrub Oak (Q. dumosa), Leather Oak (Q. durata), Tucker Oak (Q. john-tuckeri), Sonora Scrub Oak (Q. turbinella), Engelmann Oak (Q. engelmannii), Valley Oak (Q. lobata) and Oregon White Oak (Q. garryana) (Fryer 2012).
