Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
In the Madidi National Park and Integrated Management Area, where the species is found, the main deforestation drivers are urban development, roads, agriculture, mainly coffee, rice and corn, and cattle farming (SERNAP 2006). The collection sites in the park may be experiencing ongoing human activities including agriculture (Forrest et al. 2008). Additionally, collection sites are situated near roads where land use change is most likely to be concentrated, with lower elevations being most threatened (Forrest et al. 2008). However, the species also tends to grow on rocky slopes where inaccessibility of the habitat could lead to protection.
