There are no conservation measures in place, and the species was not evaluated for the Peruvian Red List due to problems with access due to drug cultivation in the area from which it was collected. Whilst there is a need for research into the population size and life history of this species, this is not currently possible due to access problems (B. Léon pers. comm.).
