État de la populationExpert
Due to restricted distribution (Mt. Labo and Bicol Natural Park), it can be expected that the species population size is relatively small, but this requires further verification. Although there are no exact estimates on its population size, it is expected to face declines due to the continuous habitat destruction in these areas, brought about by unauthorized utilization and trade, in addition to land conversion, mainly for profitable gains (Fernando 1994).

Description complète des menacesExpert
The major threat being faced by the species is the continuing degradation of its natural habitat. This was emphasized by Fernando (1994), where it was noted that rampant illegal forest degradation, particularly in Bicol Natural park at both large and small scales, greatly contributes to the continuing loss of the species' quality of habitat. These includes uncontrolled illegal logging, timber poaching, charcoal-making, and slash-and-burn farming. This was further supported by the Global Forest Watch Analysis indicating a total of 7,080 hectares of tree cover loss from 2001 to 2018, from the province of Camarines Norte.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
The current conservation strategies being implemented for Pinanga glaucifolia include ex-situ conservation at the Makiling Botanic Garden in Laguna, together with various Areca, Heterospathe, and Pinanga species (Fernando 1990). Its natural occurrences lie within two protected areas (Bicol Natural Park and Abasig-Matogdon Mananap Natural Biotic Area) which aids in situ conservation. Additionally, it was also found to be present in a Philippine Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs): top priority conservation areas both in terms of the species' population and its natural habitat. This protection was facilitated by the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police (PNP) through their monitoring strategies throughout the protected area, with the assistance of various People's Organizations. It should be ensured that the protection of these sites is fully enforced to reduce the habitat decline that is currently occurring at these sites. Information Education Campaigns (IECs) in schools and barangays within the vicinity of the protected area were also conducted as part of the socially-based conservation of the protected area, and the important biological organisms within it (Manlangit 2019).
