The surrounding habitat is being affected by logging and slash and burn agriculture so, although the plants on the ridges might be secure, the habitat will probably be affected as the surrounding forest is cleared. The quality of the habitat has also been affected by road construction and a recently constructed hydropower plant (Trần et al. 2018).
