Forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted to e.g. palm oil plantation (WWF 2019). The forest within the extent of occurrence (EOO) does, however, seem relatively intact and only 2.5 % of the tree cover was reported to have been lost from 2000 to 2017 (GFW 2019).
