In Sago forest at Sentani area, Papua, Indonesia, the density of number of clumps ranged from 22.2-182 clumps/0.5 ha with number of mature trunk densities 2.2-62.2 trunk/0.5 ha (Rostiwati et al. 2014). In Nabire, Papua Indonesia and Seram island, Maluku, Indonesia, four varieties of Sago palm were recognized and found in different growth stages from seedling, sapling, poles, to mature plants (Botanri 2010, Ramandey 2016).
