Mesanthemum radicans is very widely distributed and is found in several protected areas including the Parque Nacional do Grupo de Ilhas de Orango in Guinea-Bissau; Niokolo-Koba National Park in Senegal; Western Area National Park and Kangari Hill Forest Reserve in Sierra Leone; Foret de Wari Maro in Benin; the Parc national du Manono-Gounda-Saint Floris in the Central African Republic; Pongara National Park, Wonga Wongue National Park, Lope National Park, Invindo National Park, Bateke Plateau National Park, Moukalaba-Doudau National and Loango National in Gabon; Reserve de casse de la Lefini and the Site Lac Tele-Likouala aux Herbes in the Republic of the Congo; and the Sankuru Nature Reserve in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
