État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
No quantitative population data are available for this species. It is known from 14 specimens, It is locally abundant in suitable habitat in the high Chimanimani (J. Timberlake, pers. obs.), but was rather scarce in the lowlands at Maronga in the southern Chimanimani (I. Darbyshire, pers. obs). In this latter area, it is likely that small populations occasionally establish from seed washed down from the mountains, but it was also well established at one wet grassland site.
