État de la populationExpert
Lithocarpus lauterbachii occurs in a number of subpopulations throughout New Guinea. The wider area has seen extensive logging, seasonal burning, open pit mining, and land conversion to intense agriculture such as bananas, rice and palm oil plantations. It is likely that some subpopulations at lower elevations have experienced a decline, but the overall trend is unknown.
