Lithocarpus glutinosus occurs in a number of subpopulations throughout Sulawesi and Philippines. The area has seen extensive logging, seasonal burning, open pit mining and land conversion to intense agriculture such as bananas, rice, rubber and palm oil plantations and cattle ranching. It is very likely that some of these subpopulations outside of Mount Apo National Park no longer hold any individuals.
