Lithocarpus corneri is protected in situ in Gunong Lumaku Forest Reserve and Trusmadi Forest Reserve. While only Gunong Lumaku is under the category of Totally Protected Forest, Trusmadi Forest Reserve is categorised as commercial forest reserve. There are no known ex situ collections for this species.
