Lithocarpus beccarianus occurs in a number of subpopulations throughout Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia. The area has seen extensive logging, seasonal burning and land conversion to palm oil plantations. It is likely that some of these subpopulations outside protected areas still retain individuals of the species.

The main threat to this species is land-use change for agriculture and urbanization. The species may also be threatened by non targeted logging activities/unintentional effects of logging activities and collection as fuelwood.
