Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Within the extent of occurrence, there has been a continuing decline in tree cover totaling over 96,000 hectares between 2001 and 2022 (Global Forest Watch 2023). Satellite imagery indicates that outside of protected areas, there is little primary forest habitat left with this species' distribution. The prevailing land use appears to be plantations and agricultural land interspersed with highly fragmented forest patches. Two of the five known localities exist outside of protected areas and these are potentially impacted by habitat loss. The remaining localities are within protected areas which appear from satellite imagery to have vast forested areas remaining intact.

This species has been recorded from Khao Yai National Park (part of the Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex), Khlong Kruewai Chalearm Phrakiat Wildlife Sanctuary and Khao Kitchakut National Park (UNEP-WCMC and IUCN 2023). There are two ex situ collections of this species held by botanic garden worldwide (BGCI 2023).
