It was noted in the 1957 collection of the species that it was quite frequent where the collection occurred (Barfod and Baker 2022). However, there have been no recent surveys and therefore there is no up to date information on population size or trend. Google Maps (2023) shows the area of the known locality to be degraded and impacted by forest clearance (Barfod and Baker 2022), the impact of this on the population requires investigation.
