Description complète des menacesExpert
As of 2010, 95% of the area was tree cover. From 2001 to 2019, though, the extent of occurrence (EOO) for this species lost 70.0 kha of tree cover, equivalent to a 2.7% decrease in tree cover since 2000. There are some oil palm concessions and palm oil mills which fall within the EOO of this species, centralized around Popondetta, that pose a potential deforestation threat which could be impacting the species. There is also some tree cover loss close to some of the georeferenced data points from collections which is likely to be having an impact on the species (Global Forest Watch 2021).

Habitats préférentiels (classification IUCN)

  • 1_9Forest - Subtropical/Tropical Moist Montane
  • 5_4Wetlands (inland) - Bogs, Marshes, Swamps, Fens, Peatlands
Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
There are no records of seed accessions or other ex situ collections of this species. However, the whole of Managalas protected area falls within the extent of occurrence for this species, as does Mt Susu and some of Kamiali; however, none of the georeferenced data points from specimens have been recorded from within one of these protected areas (UNEP-WCMC and IUCN 2021).
