Description complète des menacesExpert
Habitat degradation is likely to be the main threat though the populations in Phawngpui National Park, Mizoram and in Nat Ma Taung National Park (Mt. Victoria), Chin State are under legal protection. There was c. 7% forest cover loss between 2000-2016 in the range of this species (GFW 2018).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
Field surveys must be carried out to find out whether there are more subpopulations. When better distribution and population data are known, conservation actions can be decided. In the meantime, this species is known to occur in two national parks about 200 km apart, one in India and the other in Myanmar. It is possible to grow ex situ but no current collections has been recorded by BGCI (2018).
