État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
The global population is widespread but the collecting density is low (ZRC 2018). Many of the herbarium collections dating from the 19th century cannot be geolocated but, even so, the species is relatively common and widespread. Given the global habitat degradation that has taken place, it is likely that the trend is to reduced population numbers and sizes.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
Conservation of patches of evergreen forest across the range of the species should be sufficient to protect it. A number of the known collecting localities in Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei are protected e.g. Samunsam Extension Wildlife Sanctuary and Ulu Temburong National Park. The species has not been recorded by BGCI (2018) to be grown ex situ.
