Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The subpopulation in Sibolangit is inside a protected area, but many touristic activities are carried out there (footpaths and other infrastructure can disturb and fragment the species range). Ten years ago in the Ketambe side of the National Park there was a conflict between the local people, who rejected any implementation of protected areas, and the park itself; after some manifestations against the national park, some parts of the park were damaged by the locals then. The subpopulations inside the National Park are secured now, however, the buffer zone is occupied by local settlements and other parts inside the protected area are affected by logging. Lowland forest is one of the ecosystems which is more modified by human activities.
